Mental Health has been my focus since the late 1980s. I graduated with a Masters of Social work, in 1989. As a part of that training I worked in several mental health agencies providing counseling and case management for children with emotional handicaps and conducting emergency mental health evaluations. Prior to that time I worked extensively as an abuse investigator for the FL Department of Children’s and Family Services.
In these positions, I experienced the impact that crisis has on people’s lives. I also witnessed the failure of traditional social service agencies. Although they provided the services needed to safeguard the person’s life and meet their immediate physical needs, frequently these efforts fell short of the client’s extensive needs for help with the trauma they experienced.
As I learned EFT and Matrix techniques, I was amazed how effectively they resolve physical and emotional issues. With these techniques the client can resolve underlying issues and take steps to restore their lives.
I have been privileged to be trained in EFT techniques by Ann Adams and Karin Davidson. I am currently working toward certification as an EFT practitioner.
I have experience helping others with issues of anxiety, stress, depression, abuse and trauma. I seek to lead a life centered in the characteristics of faith, courage, creativity, humor, commitment and human dignity. I strive to foster these characteristics in my life, and help others do likewise.
